What is ATS, and why does it matter?

ATS stands for applicant tracking system. It's the software many employers and recruiters use to collect, sort and search the applications they receive.

Before a person reads your CV, the system reads it. It picks out details like your job titles, skills and experience, and helps the hiring team filter and rank applicants. If it can't read your CV properly, relevant experience can be missed and you may never reach the shortlist.

What makes a CV ATS-friendly
